Trump fears 'major, major conflict' with North Korea

US President Donald Trump has said he would like to solve the North Korea crisis diplomatically, but that a "major, major conflict" is possible. In an interview with Reuters he praised China's President Xi Jinping for his handling of North Korea, calling him "a very good man" who loved his country. Mr Trump also said it had been "very hard" for Kim Jong-un to take over North Korea at such a young age. The UN Security Council is meeting to discuss North Korea on Friday. Buhari Seeks National Assembly Approval For $6.9bn Loan

President Mohammadu Buhari has written to both chambers of the National Assembly, seeking approval for a 6.926 billion dollar loan by the Federal Government. The letter was read in both chambers, by the Senate President in the Senate and the Speaker in the House of Representatives. According to the President, 5.851 billion dollars of the loans will be from the China Exim Bank for major railway projects across the country.
